i have a 01 v6 mustang and when my son in law got it 6 months ago it had new tires all the way around it now the back 2 is bald in 6 months do the 01 v6 mustang have rear sway bar on it and if not then what will make that rear of it go side ways when he is only doing 35 and it pretty bad the faster u go and it did that from day one thanks

It should have a rear sway bar if not that would be a problem.

I’d be very surprised if the lack of a rear sway bar would cause both tires to go bald that quickly, unless you are always driving in a circle. Sway bars only have an effect when cornering. It is most likely an alignment issue, or your doing too many burn outs. Check all 4 rear control arms for damage and that their bushings are in good shape. If they are damaged, cracked, warped, loose, they could cause the rear end to track funny and can cause excessive wear. Good luck…

well i looked it up and they said on some site that 98 and below they had sway bars and 99 and up did not have sway bars and i took it to alignment shop before i bought and got it done and then 6 months later they are bold and i have only done one burn out and that was all but my driver side is showing wires on the tires where my other side is only going bald on the inside the out side is still new

It's bald not bold. I couldn't stand it any more sorry haha.

bald in the center and not the edges means there is too much air in the tire

my driver side is bald all the way around it my passenger side is bald on inter side outter side is good

Sway bar has nothing to do with this. BTW I don't believe any of the '99 to 04 V6 mustangs had a sway bar. My 2000 V6 didn't.

You mention going sideways above 35 mph...in a turn or in a straight line? Straight line is called dog tracking where the rear tires don't follow the front tires. That is usually signs of a bent frame or bent suspension.

In a turn...at 35 mph. Depends on road conditions. RWD cars are typically known to be tail happy.

Sounds like a bent frame. It will wear tires out on the back like mad if it is.
