Ok I have a 2000 auto V6 and I used to have a 94 auto V6 I kept the transmission out of it because I just got it rebuilt and the dual exhaust I'm wanting to know if my 94 auto tranny and exhaust will fit into my 2000 thank you for any information on this

I’m not sure about the exhaust, but the tranny should fit. However, the ’00 transmission is probably a 4R70W transmission and the ’94 is probably an AODE transmission. The 4R70W is an upgraded AODE transmission. The 4R70W is an all around better transmission. So if it aint broke, don’t fix it.

Ok one more question the car at about 45 to 55 kind of lags in a way like it doesn't want to go it's like it's jumping back and forth a little but when I give it more gas it will down shift and run just fine I changed the spark plugs wires fuel filter and pump do you know what else I could change to try to get it to stop I figured it may be something with the tranny and it has 291xxx miles but that's the only problem it has and I want it fixed I have a perfectly good tranny at home that I can put in that's why I was asking about the tranny swap

It's the original transmission that's why I'm think that might be it

Your lag problem could be too much or too little transmission fluid. It could also be a bad coil pack if the problem happens under load (e.g. punching it to get up to highway speeds or getting on it from a stop light). You should also change the spark plugs if you can’t prove when they were changed last. A weak or low charge battery and/or alternator can also cause strange ignition problems. Cleaning the MAF sensor would also be a good idea.
