I bought a kobalt moisture separator made for air compressors from lowes, I also bought brass fittings from lowes and had the fuel line already. That's it!
And I left the filter in the can, I figured it can't hurt anything, also kinda defeats the purpose of it in my mind.
I did a bit of research before hand. A lot of people recommended putting some steel wool in the can to give the oil vapor something to cling to. I figure that filter does the same thing
Ya... It makes sense to me to have a filter of sorts in it as well but how often will you / have you had to replace the filter since you put the catch can on it?
The Husky filter in the write up I posted in the OP is essentially the same filter as the one you have just from Home Depot. Perhaps I will go to Lowes though and get the one you have as I hear the Husky ones tend to leak.
As for the parts needed to the other poster... Take a look at the write up I posted in the first post and those are the parts that are required to do this. If you want the steel braided lines and such you just have to buy them...
Really?! Hmmmm... How long have you had the can on the car and are you catching good amounts of oil with it? Have you had to dump the can ever and if so, how often?
