Default Thrown timing chain on an 03 Mach 1

There's A Mach 1 engine for sale in my area.
It has a "thrown timing chain" but he claims there's no damage.

Would it be worth the $1,000 he's asking?

Or should I go for lower?

Has anyone ever experienced a thrown timing chain and NOT had damage?

Perhaps you need to compare it to brand new or remanufactored ones on the internet. Its really your call.

You can not directly swap that engine in your car. The swap would cost at least half the amount of a real Mach 1 as you will need a complete donor car to do it.
