Depends on how "loud" you want. But there is a clear difference between quality sound and ricer. Listen to youtube videos and see what sounds best to you. Generally to make a V6 louder you have to remove the cats, however that can also open up the pipes too much causing that undesireable "ricer" sound with some mufflers.

^ true. Do some research and pick what you like. I have dual flowmaster supper 44s that are divorced and they sound just right to me. They get a little strained at the top end but around 2000 rpm they are great. I still think flowmaster is good value for the money. Some dont like it but on a v6, I think they are just right. I would not want to spend big bucks for a borla or magnaflow exhaust. So yea try flowmaster I would recommend it!
