RE: driveshaft
well I cant imagine that they are very hard to install it only takes jacking up your car time and unbolting 4 bolts to take out your old one I think that the new one would just slide into place as if it was the old one. I also have heard that they cost about $700. not sure where to get them though I would talk to autobadges...he is great to work with.

RE: driveshaft
The stock driveshaft doesnt weigh a ton I mean when I had mine out I would GUESS it weighs about 30-40lbs. But that is still that much more weight and not only that but the other driveshafts transfer the power better with less resistance so you are not buying one for just the weight loss but for that too.

RE: driveshaft
just get the ford racing aluminum driveshaft.... its like 175 and its a simple install , all you need is a good thick screw driver, open ended wrench and a jack. i have the aluminum one, theres no difference that i can feel its just lighter and lightens the rotation mass of the heavier stock one. get some gears with it and u will see some difference.

RE: driveshaft
i can't remember the site for the carbon fiber drive shaft, when i find it i will post it. but it is $585.00 for one will alumin yokes, i also read that the stock drive shaft is about 27 to 30 pounds and the carbon fiber one is about 7. The aliminum driveshaft will only give u about 2 to 5 hp, the carbon fiber one is suppose to give u about 7 with a stock car, but the more mods u have to your engine the more hp u will get out off it, or transfered to the rearwheels, I heard from someone else that if you have about 300hp for your engine, the driveshaft will give u about 17hp, Its is also suppose to give you faster acceleration, cause it is lighter and can spin faster. I plan on getting a carbon fiber driveshaft in less then a month, i will let u know if i feel any difference in my car.
