Easiest way to swap motor and tranny 6 for 6
I own an01 3.8 auto and bought a salvage 03 3.8 auto parts car for the motor. I am switching the motor and tranny (much lower miles) With a frame contact hoist is taking them complete out the bottom easiest and fastest? Thanks for any info

I think pulling them from the top will be quickest. To drop them out the bottom you need to remove the K-member. Pulling it out the top , just remove the hood , and you can take both engine and trans out together. A cherry picker with an adjustable engine tilt bar is great for this.

under neath is the easiest way. but there is ALOT of lines and hoses thata need to be removed and you need a lift to do it.
From the top you just need to disconnect:
driveshaft
crossmember
reverse wire
speedometer cable
shifter
exhaust midpipe
radiator hoses (removing radiator will give you more room also)
heater core hoses
throttle cable
starter cable
any wires from the engine to the firewall
ac lines
power steering lines
I think thats all that need disconnected
