Check Engine Light is On..Got These Two Codes
P1000 and P0156
I just returned from advanced auto parts and they provided me with the following after testing my system. I, by no means, know what either of these mean and am curious as to whether the forum could help a newbie member out like myself. What could be the cause for them to be prompting? Where should I look to locate the problem? Not to advanced with these types of fixes, but have a friend who is a mechanic that could solve it with just a little bit of information from fellow board members. Help me out guys/girls!

Just go to google and type in each code as a search.
P1000 is drive cycle and P0156 is O2 bank 2 sensor 2
The first is likely caused by the second.
Repair should likely be a quick replacement swap of the sensor and a code reset.

most codes are standard and will show up in any car. You can Google search them like BlindGYnAR mentioned. I use an app called "Car Trouble" which the car parts store recommended to me.
Start with replacing your O2 sensors just as mentioned above.
