My radiator is pouring I dont have the cash to buy new one. So I need to know if a radiator out of another car will fit in my 2000 mustang bc junkyards around here have no radiators for my 3.8 5speed.. ANY ideas will be greatly appreciated..

IIRC, the 97-04 V6 is what you are looking for. 94-96 were different.... someone might chime in with better / more accurate info for you.

There are some pretty cheap new radiators being imported from China these days. I bought one for a minivan we used to have for right around $100. It was certainly not my first choice but it was the only one I could find on a Saturday and I was stuck away from home with a blown one. I figured it was a temporary repair until I got home, surprisingly it lasted several years until we sold the van! Not recommending these, but one could get you out of a pinch, at least temporarily.

97-04 radiator, 64 bucks with free shipping, probly made in china , but what isn't made there now days. Ive used them and they held up fine.

Also its my opinion that a junk yard radiator is just a problem waiting to happen.

Are you sure its the radiator and not the overflow?

American muscle (and Im sure the local NAPA) have replacement rads for 140 bucks.

junk yards seem to think their parts are the same as new. I have never had much luck with them. I just called on a throttle body the other day. They wanted $299 for one. really? wtf

These days, with cheap imported new parts, junk yard parts often cost more than new. Hard to say sometimes which you are better going with. Agree about a used radiator - could be a can of worms.

What yards are you guys going to???? I've stopped going to smaller private parts yards and only go to yards like Pick And Pull. They charge a couple bucks to get in but parts are all decently cheap, and it doesn't matter what the part came off of. Parts are priced by what they are not what they came from. A door is a set price no matter what it came from and so on.
