Default Flexable fuel line replacement

I pinched the front flexible fuel line on my 94 V-6 and caused a leak. (goes from the passenger side rail to the drivers side) I tried using a Dorman repair kit for a 5/16 hose but couldn't get the hose all the way back on the barbs without kinking the hell out of it. Any suggestions? Do they make a more flexible rubber line I can use clamps on that will stand up to the pressure?

Thanks!

I agree on fixing it correctly, it's just short of dropping $700+ for a new fuel rail assembly from Ford or buying a whole used rail online somewhere, I can't see how to fix it!

I use a heat gun to lightly heat the plastic before slipping the repair kit in.
