Default RPMs rise when shifting

Hi, I've done a lot of looking around for the fix to this problem, and I'm fairly certain that fix is the IAC restriction mod. So I have decided to go out and buy some gasket material so I can play around with different sizes, and I may switch to a metal plate if I like it a lot.

I'm just wondering if there are any problems that could arise by doing this mod.. and what exactly the pros and cons are. I shift very fast, regardless of it hanging or not so I think I will already be used to shifting faster

No real problems, as long as you dont rip the gasket

The guys at O'Reilly's suggested a rubber type gasket material so that is what I used, I'd say its about 1/16" thick.. Do you think I should use 2 so it doesn't rip? Or will the rubber material be strong enough?
