Ford Racing Aluminum Driveshaft (1998) and Tuner
Hi am thinking about buying the ford racing aluminum driveshaft for my 3.8L mustang. I also want to get a tuner but it's about 100$ more and I want to work on my car asap.. so I am wondering if anybody has installed the aluminum driveshaft and what gains did you get? Also, would a tuner be way better? What gains can I see from getting a tuner?

It would help but everything you do will add up . The driveshaft is stronger than the factory steel one and weighs maybe 5-8 lbs less. Its also rotating mass which is a big difference compared to static mass elsewhere in the car.
American Muscle just put out a video on the exact driveshaft for your car from Ford Racing if you are interested. Ill post the video link for ya. If you do go this route dont forget to get the correct spline one for your car.
