Default 65mm Throttle body with cruise control

Ok, I installed a BBK 65mm Throttle body from American Muscle. I seem to run into the issue a few people have posted as reviews. My car with the cruise control wire attached seems to rev high (roughly 1500 rpms), the stock seems to be roughly 700. If I detach the cruise wire, it drops back to normal. I tried searching the site, and didn't come up with much of a solution. Has anyone gotten their cruise controls working with the new throttle bodies?

I did find a et screw on the underside of the TB, though all that has done was make my gas pedal a bit easier to push, more like it was stock. It did seem to idle lower (atleast for a while anyway). But it also lags when you let off the pedal (atleast in park anyway). But when I unhook the cruise, it idles and revs like it normally should.

Does the cruise cable clip on in a neutral position? or do you need to pull or push on the throttle linkage to clip it in place?

I believe I need to pull on it a bit. But as my new filter for my CAI literally fell off the car during the test drive after installation, I'm hesitant to start the car for too long. So I haven't messed with it much the last couple of days. I bought a replacement filter, but American Muscle didn't ship a clamp to mount it. Now I have to send it back for them to ship me an entirely new filter and clamp. I've been itching to get back under the hood again after the filter is back on, as I still have to install my new coil pack, wires, and plugs. Plus get the cruise working again.

If you have to open the throttle body butterfly a small amount to install the cruise cable that would explain your high idle.

Compare your new throttle body to the stock ones cruise control lever.

Well, got back under the hood today. I intalled my Screamin Demon coil pack, Street Thunder plug wires, and my NGK V-Power spark plugs. A 2 hour job that took me ATLEAST 4 hours worth of tinkering figuring and slowly step by step changing out parts. I also relooked at the throttle body and to connect the cruise wire, I have to pull back on the butterfly to connect it. It seems the location of the butterfly is a bit farther forward compared to stock.
