Fog light bulbs
#2
Id been thinking on it all morning so I went out and just pulled one to see. Says 899 on it..a mini bulb it shows online. Now Im not sure to replace it with the same 899 type of get a 893 type.

So looking online 893 seems a bit brighter and more powerful and more costly will shorter life compared to the 899. Guess Ill go 899.
Also think I can fix the fog inside my headlights. they were clear as crystal when I got it in 2010 but have since fogged or dirtied up in there. I plan to yank them off and remove the bulbs then either swish around some alcohol and distilled water in them or take something and wipe them inside with like cotton and alcohol.

Also anyone know what backup lights I need for replacements? Maybe LED? Backup lights are supposed to originally be to be able to see back there at night. Ive not seen a car ever that was bright enough to see how to backup with. WHats a good bulb to make them bright as the sun?

The cheap LED fogs will not get you any light output onto the road, they will just be for decoration/color then. I put the led's in mine because they are DRL's and I have halo/LED's in the headlights so halogen fogs wouldn't look right IMO being yellow.

Figured as much. Ya I dont want yellow. Ill just use them for looks. I need to clean my headlight housings. So dirty inside they dont output a big amount of light. They might be a good choice for LEDs .
