Help!
So when i bought my 94 mustang 3.8L auto the guy told me and messed with the throttle stop screw to smooth the idle. On other cars i have had no issues getting back. Could some one give me some pointers. Any help please.

You should never have to adjust that stop screw, its set at factory.
If the previous owner had to adjust it to smooth out the idle, its because there is a problem with something else. It could be a bad IAC or vacuum leak.
I suggest you run the stop screw back so it just barely touches the stop, then give it about a quarter to half turn. Start the car, note how the car idles after this. If it wont stay running then its probly a bad, dirty or stuck IAC.
You'll never get it idling proper untill you can address the underlying cause of the problem.
