2001 mustang v6 issue
Last month I took my car to a mechanic for an issue with the throw out bearing. he suggested to get a lower mileage tranny so I did. Took him 15 days and in that time, he locked up my original engine. I went and checked on my car and saw the hood on the roof and my engine out. His oldest kid said he went to get another engine for my car. Long story short, he stripped bolts on tranny, failed to hook up some injectors, cracked the manifold and didn't tighten the motor mounts down. new mechanic fixed all the mistakes of the first guy. I have all new vacuum hoses, spark plugs, sensors, egr valve, camshaft position sensor etc, but my engine seems to keep shaking when accelerating. He reset the ecu too and new fuel rail line. I've been looking online and some things that come up as possibilities are a bad harmonic balancer, bad motor mounts or tranny mounts. My two guesses are either the timing isn't right or a bad harmonic balancer. If anyone has had anything similar to this issue, any help would be great. Also, I looked earlier today and saw a hole with a rubber piece on the firewall, a little down on the passenger side. I'll post a picture to see if it needs a hose and if so, where does it go? The second mechanic things it could be an issue with the catalytic converters, but I never had any issues before with them prior to taking it to the first mechanic.

I had a similar issue. Only when I was in neutral, id rev the engine around 2,000 rpms and the car would shake. I replaced my tranny mount and it solved the problem. Try leaving your car in neutral and rev the motor, if it shakes then look at your tranny mount and your two motor mounts. Because I also was gonna change my harmonic balancer but it was actually my stupid tranny mount
