2000 v6 with 2003 v6 pcm
Excuse me if this is in the wrong section but I have a 2000 mustang body and motor but with a 2003 pcm which I get a code for Cylinder Head Temp that is actually missing on this harness, I am assuming older models did not have it. My question is could I wire the cylinder head temp connector and pin it myself to the pcm? (Pin 66)

Find the right value resister to put in the harness to turn the code off. You do not want a
dead short, so it doesn't pull high current from the ECU. For example, a 185 degree
reading would need a 287 ohm resister, 300 ohm you can buy.. You just put plug it
into the harness, then seal it up. The lower the resistance, the higher the temperature
sensed. Evenif you have a 1-3K resister lying around, it will just be very low temp.,
but better than open for no reading to set the CEL.

into the harness, then seal it up. The lower the resistance, the higher the temperature
sensed. Evenif you have a 1-3K resister lying around, it will just be very low temp.,

If you know where to wire it to the ECM, then you can add the harness to the head
temperature sensor. Your post indicates you have a 2000, and the engine does not
have the temp sensor. So, adding the harness to the 2003 ECU, you still need to fake
a reading if the sensor is not in the head. Not sure, but if the bung is in the head, then
screw a sensor into the head and hook it up. You can always buy a sensor, and leave
it close to the engine and tie it up wired in...
