Default Clutch issue

I have a 1996 mustang v6 manual and the clutch is doing this thing where it gets stuck halfway through releasing it. It doesn’t get completely stuck, if i let go of it, it will release. But it makes driving difficult. Recently, it started making a screeching sound only when pressing the clutch in. When its all the way to the floor it stops and when its all the way back it stops again. I also think it is important to mention that it doesnt do it all the time. If i cold start the car, it wont do it for a while but the farther i go the worse it gets. And sometimes even if ive driven a lot, it wont do it

Most likely you have a bad throw out bearing. Transmission removal will be necessary to properly diagnose the clutch and confirm the problem.
