LED replacement guide

Since I have been receiving countless pm's about where i got my led's from and the correct part #'s for replacements, i figured i'd go ahead and make a new post about it.

Reverse lights- #3156 or 3157 (Duel: needs small mod)
Trunk Light- #906/912/921
License Plate- #168
Dome Light- #578 or 44x10
Map Lights- #578 or 44x10

When looking into getting the bulbs, a good rule of thumb is get as many led's onbulb as possible. More led's=more light. Also look for led's that go completely around the bulb i.e. around the middle and on top.

A small note about the map and dome light. The only ebay seller i could find was "motoringmax", he sells the lights in both blue and white. Remember you need 3 bulbs for all the lights in the dome so you will have to purchase 2 sets. He also sells a 12" led strip that would be great for under the dash and sub boxes, the best part is it has a self adhesive back!<-- I hope to add some under the dash soon, so i'll make a write up then. Here are the 2 links for the parts:

The other led's i ordered from "cal-motor"

I need to replace some of the bulbs in my guages, do they make LED lights for in there, or maybe I should stick with standards....

custom LED guages ftw! I think I'll get an extra set of guages to try one on. LED flex-strips from oznium work great for it. (converting the guages to LEDs is fairly common on civics... it's really not hard, but a lot of it's trial and error for where to put the flex strips)

also, you can replace the stock guage bulbs with LED bulbs, but it usually creates pretty bad hot spots.
