Default 03 V6 a/c over heat issue

Hey guys new here, I have an 03 V6 wife said here ac quit as she went grocery shopping the other day, after leaving the store she calls says her car is getting warm..I tell her to cut it off and Id come get her.
When I get there I start the car the AC is Ice cold and I drive it home no issues (30 minute drive)..I let it set under carport start it and the ac gets hot and the fans is not running (radiator fan) so I know now why the ac isnt working. The fan is less than a year old I check when the fan is running I unplug it check te circuit and it does have a functional ground side to complete circuit when it goes off has hot side but no ground. with the AC swith on high max no fan but have hot side but no ground..It's intermittent works some times sometimes it dont..Is the CCRM the culprit here and the replacement they sell at Advance is it woth buying?
Thanks.

the fan is grounded at the rh side of the engine compartment, the ground will be a ring terminal bolted to the sheet metal somewhere. the ccrm is fine if its supplying power. since your problem is being caused by a lack of a ground i would inspect the ground wire from the fan motor connector all the way to where the wire bolts to the sheet metal for damage or breaks. if you dont want to do that you could always cut the ground wire splice in new and overlay the wire all the way.

You know your probably right But I thought that maybe the relay broke the ground to make the circuit..I'll try what you suggest ..Thanks.

Turned out to be the fan..It had been on the car less than a year.I bought it on Ebay but it was new in the box. 2 of the 4 brushes had burnt out.
Thing is it would only go to ground at times. You could spin the fan blade check it with a ohmmeter it would check good next time have resistance.
She's all good now though ..Thanks for the words of wisdom though.
