Default First Mustang/Introduction

Hello All!!!

I wanted to take a brief minute to introduce myself and my mustang. My name is John however I am called "Country" by friends and family. I have always been a consumer of gas drinking trucks however during this economic times I have decided to take a different route. Two days ago after depleting my gas tank in my 1994 F150 super cab 4x4 I decided i have had enough. So i decided to look for a mustang which would offer performance and a gas sipping factor that i am looking for. not long after my search i found a 1996 Mustang V6/5speed after making the trade i feel ecstatic. While though it's not perfect after seeing the distance 20 dollars in gas will take me plus the added plus of having a 5 speed i am one happy camper. anyways sorry for the book but wanted to introduce myself. I look forward to gaining knowledge on v6 upgrades and keeping the mustang in fine working shape.

Welcome! Front end looks a little rough... any plans to spruce it up or are you just looking for engine reliability?

Welcome to MF

What body kit are you going to get?
Stay with Urethane and stay far away from fiberglass.

You will find most of us are pretty set in our ways about body kits, we pretty much like stock offers to trust aftermarket like Saleen or Roush.

But its your car, your style so always go with what you want, just make sure to have a quality paint and body guy to make the body kit look like it was put on when the car was painted.

Throw a few pics up of the style you decided on.

Congrates on the buy and welcome. Like Neo said watch out with bodykits as most are cheap and you will not be happy in the long run.

Here is the body kit that i like. btw it is Urethane however it is not set in stone i just seen the picture with this body kit and i loved it.

The Hood is Called a Mach III hood however the sides the front and the rear with the spoiler is called the Spider X9. here are the details on it.

Like i said i am just now getting into a mustang so i don't know a whole lot. I do know that some things in the suspension and the brake department will have to be addressed if i am to be happy with the mustang. Right now just going to take it a day at a time. In the end i could of probably saved the money and got gt or a cobra however i needed something right now so the V6 was another great option. thanks guys for the help and the warm welcomes. and any advice on the how to upgrade the brakes and suspension as well as your views on the body kit.
