Cool Is this a good first Mustang??

Hello everyone,

I'm Taylor, and I have always dreamed of having a Mustang. I've finally reached the age and financial status where my dream is possible! My budget still remains low, but I was wondering if this is a good Mustang for a good price.

http://tradesnsales.com/1997-ford-mustang-v6

I found this car on a local classifieds site that I've had a lot of success on recently! What kind of things should I be looking for in a Mustang? What should I be wary of that could significantly lower the value of a Mustang? Where are the best places to buy a Mustang? What can I do to make sure I get a Mustang of good value?

Thank you all so much for your help,

I've never had any experience with Mustangs, but ever since childhood, have always dreamed of having one!

I wouldn't start with that one, the description is an off putter. Personally I would recommend to start with the new edge version if I were you (99-04) but even then you should stick with the 01-04's due to a lot of kinks being worked out in those models.

I would stay away from that one- one reason being teh shaved door handles, other being the AC removed (and you being in arizona).

Whats your budget?

I would stay away from that one. When they say it only needs a few parts, that means it isn't running right and who knows what is really wrong with it?

I try to stay away from cars where the previous owner was "customizing". If he pulled the AC, what else did he mess with?

How many miles on that car?

Go for the 2000+ cars. If you check Kelly Blue Book KBB.com, they are not that much more expensive.
