Default I need an appraisal

On this 2000 V6 Mustang.

I've spent OVER $5000 on this car.

I just don't find it interesting anymore.

I've taken care of this car with regular oil changes, fixing all the mechanical issues I've encountered and some cosmetic problems. My mechanic tells me that the car will last a long time with all the work I've put into it.

Mustang V6 with:

COSMETIC
------------------------------------------------------------
Mach 1 Rims($350)
I installed ROUSH leather seats, ($318)
Replaced broken drivers side mirror($25)
Replaced the drivers side doorhandle ($15)
Installed Black face Reverse glow gauges ($40)
Replaced the catch all bin under the radio ($40)
Alpine Speakers all the way around($208.99)
Blue LED Light strips Under the dash.
Anzo Projector Halo headlights ($357.31)
------------------------------------------------------

True Dual Exhaust, The videos do it no justice, must hear it to believe how good it sounds.

Got about 220 HP.

The body has 173,xxx miles. The engine was rebuilt around 100,000.

I do have all maintenance records since I've owned the car.

NO MECHANICAL ISSUES.
Issues- All Cosmetic, Paint mostly. , Paint is rock chipped on the front, The hood has a clear coat chip the size of your hand, Dent under passenger window, Paint fading under windows etc.

youtube videos-

You have a wholesale value of $2,750.00 and a Retail Value of just under $5,000.00

Assuming a clear title, I would think you could get around $3,000.00 for it. That's out here in CA though, and I am a BMW Dealership Sales Manager, so I tend to look at vehicle values in a very clinical way. As a trade in value, I would give about half that ($1,500.00)

You may find someone to just fall in love with it and get more.

Do car dealers ever take into account the Mods and upgrades someone has put into the car?

Mods/upgrades do not increase the value of the car and can actually hurt value as the parts can not be traced as factory and quality/durability becomes an issue. It is expected that a car be maintained, so repairs are not considered. The mods you've done are so minute, that it shouldn't hurt value. Also the car doesn't have 220 hp, 200 bhp tops would be more accurate.

As stated you're looking at around $3000 average, $4500 tops.

Which Roush seats? In the video I see cheapy seat covers.
You don't have 220 hp. I'm gonna say 180 hp.

I'd say you have $2500-3000 on a good day. The paint job kills it.

Individuals MIGHT, but Dealers certainly don't. The reason is that a Dealership has no real idea of the quality of the parts, quality of the install, or how hard the car has been driven.

They came out of a blue roush that was flipped at a drag strip bought the seats at the junkyard. Production code # 2,4xx. They have the little pony embroidered on the seat. Google Roush Seats 03-04 mustang.
