ohh **** ! how did you make your connections? if too much a resistance is built up you battery will supply more juice. which will blow your fuse

basically there are two small metal connecters coming from the little casing ( one black and one red ) that goes onto the + and -- side of the battery, it then goes to what i believe may be a smart junction box... the best description i can give is like 3 or 4 rectangles facing up that have wires going into them.. from there the connection goes to the GT dash switch

ORIGINAL: blackfoot

the wire would melt first the fuse is made to withstand a certain temperature

this is where it becomes a pickle lol
in my few years experiance i have seen plenty of fuses go before the wire. as with poor connections poor ground bad crimp many things can cause this. no need to get testy. I only hold a few licences that have to do with electrical but thats another story.

afixer , do you happen to know where all the ground connections are in the car? for example, ground 101?

If you can see the whiteish - tubelike piece thats where the 15 A fuse goes into.. its blowing out or w/e and melting the plastic casing its in and it got so bad i had to wrap electrical tape around now jus to keep the fuse in place.

these two are the splice connectors at the front end of the drive side....
