RE: some dirtbag egged my car....
That sucks man... I know how you feel, I got it alot worse back in November.
My girlfriend moved to St. Louis to go to grad school and I came out to visit and parked my shiny 05 vert right in front of her apartment (actually, exact same spot as in my sig!)
I get there at around 9pm, visit for a while then we decide to go get some food at around 9:45. I come out and a whole gallon of white paint is dumped on my car!!!!! Convertible top, hood, trunk, doors... Everything was covered. Luckily it was latex paint. I cussed and yelled and sprayed off the car with the hose then cussed and yelled some more. Took it through a local car wash 4 times in a row. Most everything came off (98% maybe).
Just yesterday I finally had time on a nice day to get out the paint in the cracks and under the hood and what not. There are still some traces in the seams of my top.
I'm kind of glad I didn't catch who did it, because honestly I probably would have done something to them that would have me behind bars.
So here's a question, what would you guys recommend to get dried latex paint off the vinyl top? I have a product called goof-off (in a yellow tin, different from goo-off) that I know will immediately dissolve the paint, but I don't know if it will discolor the top.

Oh yeah, also forgot to mention, they hit like 5 other cars on the street. Two of them being a brand new Subaru WRX (they smashed the paint can into the hood, denting the hood and spilling paint into the grille and radiator) and a fairly new Dodge Durango.
Yeah, I am glad I didn't find who did it, probably just some punk kids, because I would have lost it and definitely killed them.

RE: some dirtbag egged my car....
Unfortunately, people don't just do this to nice cars. When I was in high school, someone egged my '85 Escort. I was at work, so I didn't see the eggs for several hours until it had dried, and by that point the damage was done and I had discolored streaks where the egg dripped down the side of the car. Anyone who would do this though, is a coward. Seriously. What kind of pansy eggs my car, rather than face off with a 5'7, 130 lb. kid?!
