Default Questions on shifter

Im thinking about getting a shifter but I need to know some stuff before I do. First of all I was thinking of going with the " Steeda Sport Shifter Kit - 2005/06 GT and V6 Mustang " for $135.00. Does anyone know if you can install shifters your self with out jacking it up? I was looking at it right now I had the shift **** off with the boot and there was this rubber thing around the stick. I did not see any way to get the stick out from the top, has anyone installed a shifter on there manual v6? I would appreciate the any advise.

What is the difference between the shifter im thinking about and a tri-axle shifter?

That is one bad shift **** lol, actually it the best one I've seen but I can't see spending $90.00 on it. I'd rather save up about $150-$200 more and get some LCA's installed.

Default RE: Questions on shifter

hey Tim,
Try HERE!!!

and basically is it a lever principle if you lengthen the lever (with the adapter)it takes less movement of the lever to move the object. so basically it lengthens your stock shifter linkage and makes your car go from shifting like a Jeep to shifting like it should!! (its 30% shorter) it works great. search for, there are many success stories with it lol. some thought the instructions were bad but just read CAREFULLY and look at the pretty pictures and its a 10 minute install!!!!

EDIT: oh yeah i think it came out to about $48 shipped!
