we're talking the whole rear end when we say 8.8"... we mean differential, axles, etc... I don't know the price but for some reason $1,800 stick in my head... LOL!

As far as how much the 7.5 can take with a manual... I'm not certain... and while Powerhouse busted there 7.5 on a couple of occasions they were VERY ABUSIVE to the poor thing! LOL! They basically had their Nitrous setup to come on a part throttle so they were launching WHILE THEY WERE SPRAYING! LOL! And they were dumping the clutch at 5500+ RPM! Guess we'll need to wait untl one to the manual guys starts pounding on their 7.5! LOL!
lol yeah 1800 is the quote i got from my dealer.. aftermy 20% discount and a little more cuz mybud was working the counter.. also thats canadian currency..

the rear end bolts right up. yuo just have to remove some of the hardware attached to your 7.5 and put it on the 8.8 ie brake line mounts, and yada yada

your gonna need a new driveshaft too it might have to be built

You can get it from Shelby for $1100. I spent that much upgrading my 7.5.

Sorry, I wasn't clear. I spent around $1200 for upgrades on my 7.5, including installation. Here's what I got for my 7.5: Truetrac, 3.73s, ARP bolts for inside the 7.5(forget what they are called, lol. They are stronger though!), TA Performance girdle, panhard bar relocation bracket(so the girdle would fit!), install kit, etc, etc. Now granted, with all that, it's probably as strong or stronger than a stock 8.8. But if Shelby had the 8.8 available when I did mine I probably would have gone straight for that. But my 7.5 as it sits should be able to handle anything i'll ever throw at it.

really its the strength of the crown and pinion you want that comes with the bigger size... a 7.5" crown has less material than an 8.8 crown.. thats where the major difference comes to play

Well it was the T-Lok spider gears that got broke in the 7.5 by Powerhouse when they ran a 150 shot of nitrous. I don't have spider gears in my TrueTrac. ;-)

you're gonna blow that engine sky high, the GT's internals are rated for 450 HP/TQ MAX never mind the V6, I'm gonna guess you're long time durability is going right out the window. don't get me wrong your dyno #'s are sick as all hell, just doesn't make much sense to me, nut thats why its your car, good luck man! (your engine's gonna need it)
