I wonder if some of the governors were forgoten about in the new stangs cause i hit 115 before i had my tuner...hmm. Had my mom's 04 accord up to 120 on the highway but then had to go around a bend and it started to slide [&:] so i slowed down, way down. Those accords arnt much for taking corners but they sure do pull hard in the upper rpms.

Wife and I had the car up to 120..@3400RPM. Could have gone plenty faster, but without a speedometer to tell you how fast whats the point. I also wasnt speeding, the autobahn is a great great thing!

LOL nothsa, thats really funny. They asked i told! i dont do it often, but who can resist every once in a while? and i wasnt driving te 911, it was a friends uncle LOL., its stupid as hell, but fun as hell at the same time, my life motto lol

Well, as far as my car I have been to the big 100...damn smooth ride. I don't know if this counts, but when I worked at the local airport near my house, I got a ride in a fully restored 2-seater 1944 P-51B Mustang. We topped something like 475MPH !!! Thats what got me into the whole "Mustang" thing! Did Ford name the car after the fighter??

no, ill find out why for you , just a sec... i got a book for christmas about everything mustang from when it started to 2004, has all the enging options, trims, reasons behind certain things, stories, and significant other things

according to the book, ford wanted their car to have an animal name , a wordsmith from ford was sent to the detroit public library to research animal names and came back with cheetah, bronco,puma, colt, cougar, and mustang, the styling guys have been very keen on the cougar name and wrote a note with it and sent to ford stating "please do not name this car anything but cougar!" but mustand won hands down.. but according to the ad agency the name was used before, it had ' the excitment of wide-open spaces and was as american as all hell!' mustang it was..

the book is called "mustang" by peter henshaw, check out your local book store
its baout 14" long 10"wide, and 3" thick! lol its a big book
the book has a 1970 mach 1 on the front and a 2005 pony on the rear
but sad theres no 2005 in the book
but i would hope 450 pages of mustang is enough
