Default three things wrong with the 05 mustang

the way i see it there are only 3 serious mods you have to make to the 05 mustang
1. exhaust the stock exhaust is garbage this is a must
2. intake the stock airbox is trash i personally reccoment mmr but thats just me
3. wheels i have never been a big fan of the wheels on the 05 but again thats just me

all other mods are for fun but these are a must

all my 05 guys holla back on this one

everything else on the car is fantastic especially the shaker 500 if you got it

Actually the stock airbox is pretty good... The MMR is ok... The C&L is cheaper and out performs it... Also the MMR give you a piece of heater hose to us in place of the stock PCV hose... This is a very bad idea since engine oil will cause the heater hose to break down!

Ok... here's the stock air box vs the C&L... see how the stock air box does quiet well right up to 4000 RPM... maybe even almost to 4500...

Now here is the C&L outperforming the MMR... not by much... but then again the C&L is like $90 cheaper! LOL!

If anything the one must have mod is an X-Cal2... This gets rid of that annoying throttle lag...

This thread should be called "Four things Wrong with the 05 Mustang......." the 4th thing wrong is no trunk release other than the FOB or key....it needs a button or handle somewhere.....just my $.02 worth.

My salesperson told me that the wiring for a trunk release button in the glove compartment is actually all there, they just decided to not wire in a button. I don't know if thats true or not, but if it is, thats pretty damn lazy!!

I second that, the tuner is very easy to use as I just got my tuner today. I used a 93 octane tune with my JLT II CAI. It took me less that five minutes to reflash the car.
