well what makes a honda fast is their gearing.. 139 ft/lbs is at teh crank, in first gear they are putting near the same amount of torque to the wheels as us... honda makes the most power relative to displacment. the SI has 210hp..in 4 cyl.. our motors have 210 on 6! also its a 2L ours is a 4L, but we have the HP to maintain a greater torque, while it has the HP to maintain less torque.. which is why we beat these little rockets...
im confident youll have no problem smoking it.., but because its a honda dont take it lightly .. people are always like it cost to much to make em fast.. well that was back int he 90's, just like how our V6's were back then.. now look at us.. we can be faster than a GT for less than a grand lol

I think i'm gonna cook me up a little rice, next year when i have to renew my liscense plate hopefully RICE 8ER isn't taken 
. Oh and you should have no choice beating ur friend, just be weary about the Evo'sand Subaru WRX's those lil buggers are fast as hell.

I ran against my friend (with my current mods) with an 04 civic. I think he just had exaust, and he had a stick. Beat him by about 2-3 car lengths. Although he said he messed up shifting into 2nd. My tires span all the way through 1st gear so if they would have hooked better i probably would have beat him by an extra car length or two.
