heh - same thing happened to me in Feb. Took that opportunity to have a GT rear bumper cover installed, though!

I hear ya,

I got about $3K back on taxes and I was gonna spend it on the wife, but now.....

When I dropped of the car at the body shop today I asked them for a quote on painted rally stripes!

And I think a C&L/SCT kit and MRT muffler might find their way to my house too!

Ha! That's the worst part of the story (almost), when she realized that she'd hit the brand new car, she paniced, put it into drive and slammed into the side of the garage smashing the drivers front quarter panel and cracking the front bumper.

I really need that drink...[sm=headbang.gif]

I'm so pissed!!!!!!!!!!!!

Got the car back on Wed (actually I was out of town so the wife picked it up and left the minivan with the shop). I got back on Friday and the weather was nasty here. So yesterday the weather cleared and about 2:30 I got out and started cleaning her up. And I'm just amazed at what a crappy job the body shop did. I counted at least 20 flaws in the paint, dust, bubbles whatever. There are scratches on the front bumper, the lower passenger side door and the top of the trunk lid. And there are 3 or 4 places where it looks like the buffer must've burned through the clear coat (I'm assuming here not knowing exactly what that looks like! - but there are several places where the finish is all cloudy now!) I tried to take pictures but being black it really didn't show up in the pics.

Well the body shop has a warranty and it was recommended by my insurance company so they guarantee the work as well but it sucks that I'll be without her for longer for them to fix their crappy job! Good thing it's getter warmer and I can drive my harley to work.

I wonder how the van will look.....[:@]
