06 V6 stock suspension seems rough
I've had my 06 Stang for a while now and I just wonder this...
Is the stock suspension supposed to be well... rough? It seems the back end is somewhat jumpy and not a smooth ride.

Interesting observation, to me it seems kind of soft since I am used to Smaller foreign cars. Do you have stock 215/65 tires? Check your tire pressure and maybe drop it to 28 -30 psi in the rear (cold). If you went with the Pony package and got the 17"rims, then its a different case since sidewall is smaller so you get less cushion. I have a convertible V6 and it feels a little soft with my stock tires even though I pumped them up to 40 PSI all around.
Good luck.
If you want comfort, try 225/65/16 goodyear assurance comforthread. I have them on my van and they are comfy and very smooth plus you get 1cm of extra cushion :-)

Yep, like I said, it does feel softer stock but if you want even softer and sacrifice handeling, a taller tire will take care of that or just drop the pressure down to 28PSI in all tires. Ofcourse your MPG will decrease as well but you are concerned with softer ride?!
I, on the other hand, want to stiffen my ride a bit and looking into rear sway bar and urathane bushings.

Okay, thanks for all the input.
I guess I was left with a different impression on a Mustang's handling and ride back when I test drove a 99 model in 03, I could go over train tracks for instance and could barely feel it. On the 06, I do that and it jostles around a bit. I'll try letting up on the tire pressure and see how it goes.
