Now how cool would it be if someone came out with a "His & Hers" shifter?
Wouldn't that be the Hurst Dual Gate Shifter?

I had a '68 GTO with a factory Hurst dual gate in it, always loved that shifter! It looked cool and worked great too.

==I would've gotten a stick shift and put in a "Rat Fink" style stifter.==

LOL! And for sitting on top of that, you need one of these:

I bought one of these some time ago because I thought it was so cool, haven't had a manual tranny car to put in in since though It's smoked acrylic with a pewter RF embedded in it. Another company that makes some kick-butt shifter ***** is here:

Here's an original Pontiac version and the aftermarket version. It has two gates, the left gate is for "normal driving" and the right gate is for manually shifting the auto. You can slam the stick forward as hard as you want, it can't go past the next gear until you release pressure on the stick, then it springs over into the next gate allowing you to shift to the next gear.

When the B & M shifter is finished for the 2005, will you be able to manually shift through all 5 gears, or just 3?

Probably just 1 through 4 with OD being on a button like on the stock shifter. OD is electrically activated, so it's doubtful they'd be able to make it a shiftable gear via the lever. It's been suggested to them that they could do a T-handle with the OD button on the end, B&M already make T-handles like that for NOS.
