Since i got my new 06 stang in the vista blue, I knew right away I had to have the white racing stripes. The problem was, at the dealer I bought it from, I saw my color car with the stripes on the side and thought it looked hott. After doing some research online, I pictures of cars with the white on the side, with the white down middle, and a car with both the side and the middle white stripes. My question is, what do you think I should do?

i have the windviel blue with the white on the side... n i think im leaving those on when i put my stripes evetually... but either way is awesome

bc i dont want someone around hte area with the same car as mine n there are already 3 identical to mine[:@]

I'm a fan of having both. I know a lot of people like the sides of the cars "clean", but I like them better with the stripe...

is the side stripe that says mustang, is it painted on or is it a stick, and if so how could i take it off. I've herd something about the dealer taking it off, but i believe i could do it myself. I can't help if i'm a cheap bastard.

I took mine off with a heat gun, but if you use a heat gun dont hold it too close to the car as they get very hot and could ruin your paint. A Hair dryer will also work. only takes about 10 min to take them off and I tihnk it looks much better. The only stripes I've seen so far that I like are scrming's and a guy that had some subtle red ones. I dont like the stripes that look just like everyone elses.

Good color choice [sm=smiley20.gif] Here's my '06 V6 'stang. Vista Blue w/ both white racing stripes and side stripes.
The stripes are 10" wide w/ 1.5" gap, then .5" pin stripes .75" from the wider ones.

I actually don't have the white stripe on the side becasue my car is white. Stripes have to go with the character of each car and its color. Ford went a little crazy with those side stripes.

Just thought I would give you a heads up. The owner of that car(2ns pic) does not like his car being posted up anywhere without his permission which is understandable, just thought you should know. I speak to him on a daily basis and he's seen it posted in more than one place. Granted its just a average sonic blue stang with the stripe.....Well actually its got the ATI procharger in it but you would never have known it otherwise. Im guessin you got that pic off of Cardomain?

If I get custom painted stripes the side stripes are most likely going to come off.

man... vista blue is sure a pretty color.... if i ever got to choose an 06, i think it would be a vista blue GT. lol... only way i would step up for an 06 is if i could afford a GT but i do love my screaming yellow 05 w/ 5 speed
