What perfomance options void warrenty, is it for sure that taking off the governor will void the warrenty?
Only mods directly affecting the warrentied part can void it. For example if you have an springs and something goes wrong with the electrical system the dealer would have to prove the springs hurt the elictrical system to void that part of the warrenty. Howevr, if you have a/m springs and your shocks blow, they can void the suspension part of the warrenty.

Removing the limiter would def. void the engine/ drivetrain warrenty.

volvos have different gearing, but then again so do ur stangs. Im pretty sure a manual will have a higher top end than the auto tho, because of tighter gearing.

Wouldn't it have been great if Ford hadn't wimped out / cheaped out and put a 140 mph speedo in our V6? I mean what would it have cost to put the GT's 140 mph speedo in? I guess Ford didn't think it was going to be possible to put a supercharger or turbo in our great V6. Just my $ .02 worth.

Agreed...the speedo on my RSX-S went to 160, top speed was 145ish, and that has about the same 1/4 time and trap, and thus power, as a v6 Mustang. Even the wimpy 160 chp base RSX speedo goes to 140! The 120 speedo is ridiculous, esp for f/i.

Does anyone know where to get a speedo that goes to 160 or 190 that would look somewhat stock?

doing rpm/gear calculators i got the car up to 141mph before it fell flat on its face.

Since the new gear install, 5th gear just cant push the car as fast it seems, stops right around 132mph (again using rpm/gear calculators)

I did 140 mph in my 02 civic Si and it had 160 hp. It was not drag limited either, that was 100 RPM shy of redline in 5th gear, if I had 6 speed option i bet i could have gotten 150. Different countries breed diferent horse's. Sure didnt get the looks in the Si as I do in the stang though

With just an XCal2 91 octane tune I hit right at 125. Afterward I read that there are issues with the dirveshaft at above 115, so I've limited my recent runs to 115.
