convertible boot??

RE: convertible boot??
The boot is certainly not good for day-to-day use. I use mine when I take a Sunday drive on the interstate. It cloaks the mechanics of the convertible top and might even reduce drag at high speeds, although I am sure the difference is minimal.
I put mine on my sliding the rear of the boot in first and pulling it back up to engage the flat plastic "hooks" on the rear deck. The important part here is to make sure the seams on each side are about the same distance from each side of the car. That's how I know that I've got it on straight.
Next I insert the sides over and around the hinge portions of the top, just next to the passenger seats. I do the same thing as on the back, making sure the "hooks" enjage under the lip of the body.
Last thing, make sure you hook the elastic eyelets to the plastic catches on the back of the rear seat headrests, then tuck the excess boot around corners of the rear seats. That should do it. I find that it stays very stable and won't move at all at highway speeds.
One other thing...the owners manual gives you instructions on how to fold it up for storage. I just leave mine in the trunk when I'm not using it.
Like I said, it's certainly not for every day use, but I think it's worth the trouble if you're going touring for the day.
