Attaching Pony to Billet Grille

Attaching Pony to Billet Grille
I just installed a top and bottom "bolt on" billet grille on my V6.
Has anyone re-mounted their pony on the billet aluminum slats? I have heard 3M sticky back tape could be used but there is not a lot of surface to adhere to. Has anyone used some form of glue?
This is a Bill Coogle (Hireman) air-brushed w/flames Pony so I want to put it back on. Since the new grille is curved in the middle I will likely put it on the left or right side of the billet grille. I am somewhat concerned it might be an easier target for someone wanting to steal it since there is no way it will be as secure as the original installation (recessed into a form fitting pony frame).
Any ideas anyone has who has done this would be appreciated.

RE: Attaching Pony to Billet Grille
I bought plastic rivets from autozone. Scraped off the crome on the back of the emblem and krazy glued the male part of the rivet to it. Then sliped the rivets through the grill and applied the female to the backside.
