Default Installed intake/tune not impressed at all

I just installed my Demolet CAI and 93 Octane Performance tune from Bamachips and I am not impressed at all. The car has a bit more power and the delay in the throttle is smaller (not gone) but damn...

If I am at a dead stop and floor it, shouldn't I at least be able to do a one-wheeled burnout? I can't (and yes I turned the TCS off). Also, do you guys change any options or just load the tune? My shift points were at 0%, I changed them to 15%. This made them firmer but nothing too great.

Any ideas? I really feel like I just wasted $600.

I'd talk to Doug about your concerns. With just his 87 octane tune and thee C&L (ok... I had headers and duals too) I was able to easily spin that right tire at only half throttle. However, he later created new tunes for the auto when he realized they had different air/fuel ratios compared to the manual. The new tunes were even better.

I don't have any experience changing the tune myself.

you know I was sort of thinkin the same thing, I have the C&L and tune from Bamachips w/91 oct , people have posted chirping tires, well not yet, I can tell I have a difference but it just isnt all that, I am going to hit the dyno next week and have the guys check my tune and adjust as necessary, I think it may not be right, the info from the dyno will tell,

that is very unsettling news. Maybe its an elevation difference? I don't want to waste $600 dollars, do you have a manual or auto?

This seems like bash intake day!

This and the whole "fade issue"

I hope one of the major tuners will jump on here and give us some info!

yeah to be honest i was kinda thinking the same thing u guys were..... i even reloaded the tune to make sure it went in....i wasn't sure if it was just me or not though.

i'm thinking of giving Doug a call and asking what the deal is....... maybe i just overestimated the capabilities of the package???

I have an auto.

I mean I should at least be able to do a damn burnout right? Right now it's not happening.

Wow, I could burn out my tires with the stock tune. I have a manual of course. Last few weeks I've been hearing nothing but great things about these $600 intake and tunes. I'm glad I saved a few bucks and went the direction I did.

Dont do this to me guys....I have been researching this like crazy the past couple of weeks when I decided to start some fast mods instead of prettier mods....AAARGH !! now I am leaning back towards the pony gill/fogs instead of the C & L and Xcal2

ya, with just the tune on my manual, if i let the car fully in gear, so no clutch dropping, and floored it, i would spin the tire all the way through first gear. Now will all the mods i have, i can do the same thing, but spinnin both tires haha.

id say theres something wrong with the tune
