Default Steeda Ultra Lite Springs

I've been looking at the Steeda Ultra Lites as an alternative to the Eibach Pro-Kit. They're currently on sale at Steeda.com:

Do any of you have this kit? I have been in touch with Steeda about them; my email exchange is reproduced below:

MY EMAIL #1
Hi,

I'm interested in purchasing your Ultra Lite Springs for my '06 V6.
Will I need to purchase camber adjusters as well, or can I just
install the springs alone?

Will I run into alignment problems or uneven tire wear with the Ultra
Lite Springs? What else do I need to fix any issues that might arise?
Anything else I should know about?

Thanks in advance! I know I can count on Steeda!

Tim

RESPONSE #1
Tim,

With a V-6 and our sport springs camber alignment is not a problem. I would adjust to most negative adjustable on both sides of the car and make sure you rotate the tire every 4/5 K miles.

MY EMAIL #2
Frank,

Thanks for the quick reply! Does the same hold true for the Ultra Lite springs?

Could you clarify what you mean by "adjust to most negative adjustable"? What exactly is it that I would need to adjust?

Thanks again!

Tim

RESPONSE #2
I'm talking about negative camber somewhere around -1.0 degrees.

The ultra lite springs have the same rate as the sports, they are just weight a little less.

Can any of you help me decipher this information? In other words, is the camber adjustable without any aftermarket parts? Could I just install the Ultra Lites and be good to go?

Oh, one more thing -- Afixer, you have the Steeda Sport Springs, right? Have you had to replace shocks/struts? Any camber or alignment problems? Uneven tire wear?

Thanks,
Tim

I think he is saying you need a camber adjustment kit, which you can buy from eibach for about $30.

afixer,

Where did you get the 14mm camber bolts?

And does anybody know whether I would need new shocks/struts with these Ultra Lite springs?

Thanks,
Tim

Sorry to bump an old thread, but this may be worthwhile information for anybody else looking to install lowering springs.

afixer, is this the product you used?

81260
EZ CAM XR (14MM)

The new EZ Cam(tm) XR is designed for non-slotted struts. It allows both positive and negative camber changes up to approximately 1.75 degree (depending on vehicle) by replacing the upper O.E. strut/spindle bolt. This easy to use adjuster provides built-in adjustment over the life of a vehicle just by rotating the head of the bolt. Each kit contains two cam bolt assemblies, enough for both sides of the vehicle. MasterPaks of 10 are available. Use wrench #85825 to adjust.

NO Special Tools
NO Grinding Necessary

Estimated Installation Time - .4 hr/side

Here is the link, but you may have to search by make (Ford), model (Mustang), and year (2005+).

The site indicates that these are just for the front -- is that all you installed, afixer? I figured I'd need one camber bolt for each wheel.

The Eibach kit would work with the Steeda springs, right? Where can I buy it?

Thanks!
