Default Help picking complete dual/x-pipe exhaust

I have an 06 v6 and want a dual exhaust setup with an x-pipe. I have done tons of online research but haven't found one complete kit like this and I need help piecing one together.

So the x-pipe setups you can buy bolt right up to the factory exhaust manifolds? If so then do the x-pipes come all the way back to where an axle-back setup is? What about hangers for the drivers side...do the x-pipe setups for our cars take care of this?

If someone could simply spell out exactly what I will need, that would be very helpful. I have searched this forum but haven't brought it all together yet....help would definately be appreciated.

Oh....can I do this in my garage or will a shop have to customize???

I would say to pick your mufflers and get them, take to muf. shop and they should have a x-pipe in stock and let them cut and fab all you need from there, my $ .02 worth

If you have a good local shop, I'd also recommend going that route. I don't know of any aftermarket systems for the V6 that come with an x-pipe (although the JBA with h-pipe looks and sounds great, in my opinion).

On the other hand, there is a system out right now that's supposed to yield even bigger gains than an x-pipe. As long as you don't mind eliminating the catalytic converters, you might want to check out the MAC Pro-Chamber and long tube headers. I bet it would sound pretty tough, especially coupled with some Flowmaster or Vortex mufflers.

You can get the MAC set-up at V6MustangStuff:
Headers
Pro-Chamber

Whatever you decide, good luck! Post clips when you're done!
