How do you wash your pony?

RE: How do you wash your pony?
Geez. Thanks guys. I thought I had an unhealthy obsession with my car. Maybe I do, but in comparison, it's not so bad.
I have only washed the car every weekend. Right now, brcause the car is so new, all I have done is go to tthe quarter wash place and FW rinsed it, then a cali blade and a terry towel for the remainder of thew water. Mequiars fake armorall. Glass cleaner in an aerosol can. Then Meguiars wax. I still need to do the front. No orgies of cleaning in the driveway anymore, SINCE I DON'T HAVE ONE.

Here's my routine on all of my cars I've had not just my "stang's":
1. rinse well
2. spray the tire and wheels with cleaner
3. Hot water and car soap Platinum turtle wax
4. no order other than top down with a wash mit
5. use soft stream or no nozzel to rinse
6. rinse again and rinse rims
7. towel dry cotton or microfiber again top down
8. if I'm not waxing I use some sort of quick detailer
9. I use seperate rags on my lower panels and rim
10. inside I wipe down everything then armor all (i've found that quick detailer works to without the later dust build up)
11. vacuum
12. spray the tire with tire black (none work better than the next I think)
13. stand back and admire my work!!!
14. place in the garage so it won't get dirty

RE: How do you wash your pony?
Every other day, take it to the carwash and run it through for 3 bucks. Before running it through, coat the wheels with Tire Black. Every other wash, wax with Turtle Wax ICE. Once a week (either Sunday or Monday, whichever day the washing falls on) Vaccume it, run a Swiffer Wand for the Auto over the dash and all hard surfaces to get rid of dust, then throw some Armoral on the black parts. Every night, or at least the last time of the day that i plan to be in the car, spray some Febreze for the Auto on all soft surfaces. Finaly, every 4 months, take it in for a detail.

MR CLEAN AUTO-DRY IS AMAZING!
the soap isnt quite strong eenough and requires a little much scrubing. but i have NEVER had water spots! BTW ICE doesnt do anything when your cars clean.

RE: How do you wash your pony?
My buddy used to wash all the cars at the local Ferrari dealership back in england... all he used was 1 bucket, 1 sponge and a shammy. NO SOAP!.
i do this aswell, very quick and the results are SUPREME, dont beleive me?? try it.. go buy a real shammy leather, go over each pannel with the sponge (no soap just cold water), and shammy it JUST as its starting to dry... no need for waxing after this.

Well, here was today's routine:
1. Spray car with clean water
2. Scrub tires and clean wheels
3. Rinse tires and wheels
4. Spray car again
5. Prepare soapy water with Dawn (to remove old wax this time, not every time)
6. Wash/rinse front
7. Wash/rinse windshield and top
8. Wash/rinse driver's side
9. Wash/rinse back
10. Wash/rinse passenger's side
11. Rinse entire car with slow running water (no spray nozzle) for the sheeting action
12. Dry car with two microfiber towels (one to get most water, the other to remove streaks)
13. Tape off black plastic molding with blue painter's tape
14. Wax entire car with Meguire's NXT Tech Wax
15. Let wax dry for 20-30 minutes
16. Remove wax residue with microfiber towel, turning often
17. Clean all glass with Windex and glass microfiber towel
18. Vacuum interior
19. Put Raggtop protectant on convertible top
Long...but looks OUTSTANDING!!! The wife is convinced I am OCD about the damn thing.
