Default JBA catback and AEM CAI on the way!

After a long reflexion I ordered a JBA catback and AEM CAI. I was going for the MRT but the comments about how loud it is put me a bit off. As fo the CAI, I did not want to flash the car (it as only 5000 miles on it). I was going for A&E stage 1 but they were back order and the guy at RPMOutlet offered me the AEM for the same price, worth a try.

By the way, I am 51 years old and its is the first time I will modified a car, I was never inclined to do so (I only had 4 cylinders until now... even my first car, a 78 mustang).... I feel like 18 again... By the way I drive my car like I was 18... it will cost me someday.... Grinning from ear to ear each time I go at it... Just the other day I killed a young guy in is souped ricer. I was cruising with the top down and he must have seen my grey hair and was thinking I will let him have me... Poor guy... I let go at 95 mph after going from a red light... he never cactched me... what fun it was.... Got to go, I have to drink my Geritol LOL -

You will like the JBA, I have heard the single and dual on our cars. Sounds good in my opinion.

On the AEM though, if I were you I would not open it and send it back. Independant dynos show it does not give a gain over the stock airbox. Its a great looking unit, and will definitely be good for people doing the car show thing but even with a tune, it flows the same as the stock airbox. Sorry for the bad news, but I wanted to look out for a Stang brother.

Good CAI's that dont require retune are AFE and K&N.

And yes, reading your post stock or modified, these are great cars. I love driving mine, I make it a point to drive mine every day, even on a slow weekend I will go out for 30 minutes.

On a side note, I wouldn't trust RPM, they are ok to order parts from, but I wouldn't trust them technically. Flapjack I think found one guy there that actually knows how to tune a car, but other than that I wouldn't trust thier sales people to know anything, and the HP gains on thier kits online are all inflated.
