i have seen one of those little things pushing big numbers around here. it seems that some of the porche engines fit pretty well into them

crazy though, still blows me away

A Porche engine will quite nicely in a VW because they're practically the same car.

A guy I used to work with's son dropped a Porche engine in his VW bus, he enjoyed the looks on people's faces when he would speed by at 80mph on the interstate.

Paul Newman was known to drive a stock appearing Beetle for many years with a Porsche engine in it. He had to take out the back seat to fit it but it otherwise looked stock.

A 9-second Pinto would not look stock. I had a buddy in high school who had a Cobra II (same as a Pinto underneath) that he swapped a 351C into. He didn't put a rollcage or subframe connectors and the first time he jumped on it the whole unibody twisted. He pulled the motor and rewelded the subframe and sold it. Maybe someday I'll tell you the one about the guy with a 390-4 speed in a Maverick...
