nope.....manuals are 6 and autos are 4..........weird i know but that's the rotarty engine for ya lol

only the first year was a 4 speed auto, i think the newer ones are 6 speed autos with the paddle shift at least as an option.

yeah...they are both 6 speeds, and the touring package has paddle shifters

i have yet to see an rx8 run faster than 14.8 at the track

good thing he doesnt have an RX-7 he would smoke your a** or any of us. no offence to you its my fav import. my brother has 1 (its in no way a ricer, its an autocross car) anyway he makes 607rwhp on a dyno and he runs really low 11's at the strip (with an autocross setup). RX-7's are amazing cars.

I don't know. Flapjack and MSP stand a chance w/ s/c, Rygen & Screaming w/ bottle. They would stand a chance against an RX-7 depending on mods.

I would defintely put money on the RX-8, he should win in my opinon. But who knows, anything can happen. I edged out a WRX wagon by a tenth at the track last thursday. I was thrilled, sort of. But I know full well that any WRX should run well into the 14s and should beat me. I don't know why this particular WRX ran so slow, but it goes to show, anything can happen. Right now I am 1-0 against WRXs, I will retire from racing against them undefeated....j/k.

rx-8s require extreme skill to run into the 14s. The last one i raced at the track couldnt get below 15.5, and some runs in the 16s

i'm thinking i can beat him..........im only 18 and the guy that wants to race me is like 16 or 17, so........he just started driving a manual this year, so he's not gonna be a pro, but he's not bad at it either lol.........

i think i'll take him down with the mod list lol
