ok, 1 no, not a chance in hell
2, 5 speed auto is stronger than the 5 speed manual in the v6, but has more of a parasitic loss due to the fluid it has to push.

stock supra no... a stock supra with the boost cranked .. yes

dumb to hook up autos.. no.. a manual driver cant nearly shift as fast as a automatic... back in the day it was an issue because you couldnt controll your shift points and yada yada.. with todays technology autos are significally faster once done up

5 speed auto.. you have 4 gears and a 5th overdrive (vs the 3 gears and the 4th overdrive on the old tyical auto tranny)
5 speed manual.. you choose what gear your in

(btw if yours is auto and you wondering about the O/D button.. just leave it on.. it doesnt make you faster if its off)

Base non-turbo Supra or the turbo version? Non turbo's stand zero chance turbo models that have been well maintained, different story. A stock 93 Supra turbo is about as rare as a quality Paul Walker performance also.

The auto tranny in the Mustang is one of the better auto trannies out there, with autos though you'll always lose about 5-10% more power then a manual thru the drivetrain. It's certainly not dumb to hook up an auto, especially the Mustang 5-speed IMO. To go back to the Supra, modded it's auto's were actually faster then the manuals. People are ignorant and bash auto trannies without knowing the facts, because the auto trannies in whatever POS they drive is geared towards economy, sucks, and is much slower then the manual. Example, Civics, Sentra SER's, base RSX etc-
