I've had my stang for 14 months now, and 20k + miles. In all that time I've only had one person try hard to race me. It was an older Chevy pickup of all things. I didn't waste my time/ gas. I mean why bother, if I win I can tell people I beat an old Chevy pickup? Woopee. Really I don't understand people racing their Mustangs against ricers either, no one cares if you can beat a ricer. But should you lose and your buddies find out, you'll never live it down. Everything to lose and nothing to gain

I ran a stock (I suppose) v6 05 mustang tonight. I'm still looking for just the right one to buy. Right now I have a 2002 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP, It's supercharged from the factory and I took him, but not by a whole lot, I was really suprosed at the off the line speed the new 6's have. He was a manual and Grand prix's only come in auto which probably added to the closeness. BTW he started it, not me haha

i took a modded gtp at the track a couple months back, then lost to a n/a grand prix lol (he was fully built 11:1 cr cammed motor, just over 300hp)

I ran a honda accord (rust color) and a similiar honda civic the other night. They both had Folger's can exhausts and huge trunk lid 'wings'. They pulled up on both sides of me at a red light and started reving there engines so I smoked them. I waited at the next light for them. They wouldn't even pull up next to me. I think I will retire with a win. LOL.

Trucks try to race me all the time. Like today, I was at a stop light. The truck was in the left lane, i was in the right. The right lane ends shortly after the light. Light turns green and i give it light throttle, which is usually enough. The truck floors it, I floor it and beat the truck easily. I don't know what these truck guys are thinking.

Nobody has tried to race me yet. I guess they all got smoked by GT's or something and are afraid to challenge any Mustangs now. [sm=gears.gif]

I've been getting harassed a lot lately since I got my new exhaust. It's usually by some sort of pickup, and they always wind up tailgating me in rush-hour traffic. An a-hole in a new (used) VW Golf really pissed me off the other day. He cut in front of me twice, the second time looking at me in his rear-view and stopping short. I never had someone do that bad to me before! Needless to say, I stopped, then punched it and caught up with him. I was so pissed I just started following him to see what he'd do. He wound up almost causing 2 accidents trying to get away from me turning onto other streets, so I left it at that after the second time. I didn't want him to hit somebody. Another time I almost fell out of my car when a kid in a junky ricer revved his engine at me at a stoplight and almost hit the car in front of him...

ive eaten a 2002 ish gtp s/c... was about half a car ahead while i shifted into 3rd... my previous car was a 2000 bonneville SSEI (supercharged also) yes its a fast car, but if you can powershift and you have a good start youll start to pull on it in the first gear

those 3.8sc motors th tranny is set to shift into 3rd at 50mph (80km.h) i shift into 3rd at 60mph (100km.h) and sometimes my tires will chirp going into 3rd depends on how good / quick the shift is

and performance wise, my car is stock

iveonly raced the gtp and a fully modded integra (the only thing it was missing was a turbo) the integra i beat at half throtle lol he was pissed so he turbo charged his car last weekend.. i should call him up (buddy) and see how its going
