Great job!!! Nice first outing!! Isn't it a blast?!?!?!

well... here's my 1/8 mile calculations... LOL!

To get an ESTIMATE of the 1/4 mile time from the 1/8 time... simply multiply by 1.56. I've done this on a lot of my timeslips and it works out to be pretty close... in the ball park at least! LOL!

so 9.218 X 1.56 = 14.38...

Now a stock V6 runs about 15.3 to 15.5ish... so were looking at just over 1 second difference. In our cars that about 100HP... so based on the 6 PSI, I would say things add up pretty good... LOL

Tom,

Thats a really good time for your first time out, and you have to remember a few things:

1. You are using the stock control arms
2. You are using stock gearing (so getting out of the hole is tougher for you)
3. You have a open diff

Considering the above, and the fact that you are ripping off times comparable to stock/lightly modded GT's, that is amazing!!!

You have a 13 second car for sure, we just need to work on a few things.

Well done!!!

PS: Isn't it a rush!!!!!!

Low 13's is hard, even for GT's depending on the year. Anywhere in the 13's on a power adder is considered good, which I think the EE is will be within given the proper setup. Keep in mind that power alone dosent get you a good time, learning how to launch, tires, tire pressure, LCA's, UCA, shifting (upgrading your shifter), etc.

a ton of the GT guys are running mid to low 13's with only CAI and tune which puts them about 300rwhp. Seems like a v6 with a charger should be running a little mroe power than that which should make those times a piece of cake.

afixer how far above sea level are you? That could be a factor of the times.

I have seen GT's manual run at thier best, mid 13's with CAI/tune. With a ton of bolt ons, and I mean a ton, I have seen GT's run high 12's. In fact, on the autos, with a CAI and exhaust, I have seen GT's struggling to break out of 13.9. But low 13's with a CAI and tune, I havent seen it (I'm sure people are doing it, but its definitely not "a ton"), not without better tires and supension work.

ET's do not add up that simply. At my power level on street tires, I can consistantly hit 13.7, 13.6. But if I gave my car to a first timer here, he/she would struggle to beat a 13.9.

Congrats Tom!! Considering you're running the 50 state setup and (as Rygen said) open diff and stock auto gearing, those are some impressive numbers. Especially considering the 3:25 gearing, that's not much help in the 1/8th! Nice work. With a gear swap, t-lock, appropriate tires and some more experience launching, those numbers could come down substantially. It looks like there is a ton of potential in the X-C setup.
