Car in shop
Was on 695 in Baltimore - thankfully in the slow lane - and I had the warning light for the Electronic Control Throttle come one. The motor was still running and I could turn the wheel but when I tried to give it gas the pedal was hard to push. At first I thought the floor mat was jammed under but I was able to pull off on the shoulder and turn it off. Tried to start it but it would start and then wait another second and it started. I called the Service department at my dealer and they told me to bring it right in. Needless to say, I drove all the back on the beltway in the slow lane watching the gauge to make sure it didn't come back on. I made it to the service department and they were taking it in and putting it on the computer.
I also had the car in a week ago because of a similar problem but they couldn't find anything. Basically the car tached at around 2500-3000, ran for a few minutes, and then shut off.
I'll let you know the outcome once I get it back.
*fingers crossed*

Service just called me. They had to replace the throttle body. Asked if it pulled a code, was told no it didn't save it. The tech researched it and everything pointed back to the throttle body so they replaced it.
Hope that is all that it is....

RE: Car in shop
My car is at the dealership for the third time for some intermittant electrical problem and it is really starting to **** me off. When I'm driving all of my idiot lights go on and the radio defaults back to original factory settings. It sometimes does it even when the car is not on. I go to start it in the morning and the radio is on, the time is screwed up and it's on AM. It's got to be a fues problem or the smart junction box or the battery. I had it in the shop to get the upgraded instrument cluster with the extra gauges installed and it happened again. I don't know how much more proof they need. They couldn't pin point a "computer error code" so they couldn't fix it. They better start replaceing things on my car instead of playing this game.

I picked up the car and so far it seems okay. I had a problem on Friday with starting it but didn't think much more of it. Like I said in the previous post, they went through it and everything pointed back to the throttle body so they replaced it.
Hopefully I won't have any more problems.

It must be the junction box just like on mine. I had the same issues with all my warning lights and all my whole dashboard lights turning off. My headlights stoped working but the car ran so they replaced the Junction box and now its fine :-) Also could be a loose ground cable. clean and recheck all the ground wires.

Now they thiink it's my sequential tail lights. I got the kit that prevents the brake lights from sequencing. There was a wire that runs from the tail lights up to the smart junction box.
But we will see. That might just be an excuse to find an after market item causing my problem.
