I'm shopping for convertible top cleaner and protectant and have found product for both vinyl and fabric from Raggtopp. Which is our tops made of, I was assuming vinyl but I may be wrong.

I don't have an exact answer as to the material. We traded our 99 convertible for the 05 and the top on the 99 was in great shape. It went up and down quite a bit in the seven years that we owned the car and was NEVER garaged until we moved to VA in early 03. I don't know how much you need to do to keep it nice, other then a cleaning occasionally with a mild cleanser.

Agreed, current ones are all vinyl. (there will be an optional cloth top for the '07 model year)

Best top cleaner money can buy Add a bottle of 303 Aerospace protectant and you have 10x what Armor All and any cleaner can produce.

Just to qualify my last comments about the 99 top, it was the black/charcoal color and probably just didn't show the dirt. The top on the 05 is the same color.

I have seen white and tan tops on MUSTANGs and have been curious about keeping them clean, some look pretty rough.
