think our v6 is slow?
I've read a couple e-mails suggesting that the 05-06 Mustang isn't that fast. Check out this web site and look at some of the "fast" vehicles including Corvette, Monte Carlo ect.

Our vehicles are supercars compared to some of the old musclecars. Just my opinion.

RE: think our v6 is slow?
I'm not big into 1/4 mile times or street racing, but my V6 is fast enough for me. I've had a Tahoe with a 350 V8 and a Silverado with the 4.7 V8 and I still like my V6 more. It's all a matter of preference.

Corvette and Monte Carlo, one thing is not like the other, lol. Corvette, esp the z06, is legit fast...Monte Carlo legit performs like a dog. Our cars are far from fast, or slow...they're peppy.

you get what you pay for, "Their is always a faster car".
For me, True our 4.0L V6 is slow but you have to take this into perspective;
1)low insurance
2)gas prices
3)its not a 1.8L VTEC Honda Piece of ****
4)it responds well to power adders
5)with some engine work this could be a beast
6)you can bore it out to 4.4L, thats about as close as you'll get to a V8 in displacement.

Fact of the matter is, most of us, if not all could have bought a GT. I have had many fast cars in my life so buying a 6 was new to me, hell even my last luxobarge was a V8, granted it was a northstar, but I digress.
In picking out my car I knew I wanted a mid to high 13 second car. Obviously right off the lot the GT does that, but for almost 5500 dollars more.
For about 1500.00 I can get my 6 into that range and still enjoy the great looks of this car as much as any GT owner.
To each his own.
